Automaker Tata Motors has shared its sales report for October 2024. According to the report, Tata Motors achieved a modest growth with sales of 48,133 units in October 2024. The company’s two major models, Punch and Nexon, topped the sales chart. Tata Motors remained the fourth highest-selling car manufacturer in October 2024. Above Tata, the top positions were held by Maruti, Hyundai and Mahindra. The company’s current market share is 12.1%, down from 12.4% in October 2023. However, with the exception of the Altroz, all of the company’s models saw a month- on – month sales increase, though four models experienced a year- on – year decline in sales. Tata Motor’s portfolio includes 8 cars and SUVs five of which are also available in electric variants. The best selling model last month was the Punch/Punch EV. In October 2024, its sales were 15,740 units, which is 3% higher compared to 15,740 units, which is 3% higher compared to 15,317 units sold in October 2023. Monthly sales increased by 15% compared to 13,711 units sold in September 2024. Some variants of the Punch in both petrol and CNG options have been removed from the company’s website, as there is higher demand for the sunroof variant. Tata Nexon secured the second spot last month with sales of 14,759 units. Nexon faced a 13% year on year decline compared to 16,887 units sold in October 2023. However, it was able to offset this decline with a 29% month on month increase in sales compared to 11,470 units sold in September 2024. The ex showroom price of the petrol variants of the Nexon starts at ₹8 lakh and goes up to ₹15 lakh.
