The Suzuki Hayabusa has always had a strong identity of its own. Rather than making dramatic changes every year, Suzuki has continued to refine the motorcycle while keeping its familiar design and powerful engine intact. For 2026, the company has introduced a Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 19.90 lakh. The latest version brings a fresh appearance along with updates to some of the bike’s electronic features and battery technology.
A Fresh Look for the Hayabusa
The most noticeable difference is the new Pearl Vigor Blue colour scheme. It gives the Hayabusa a more distinctive appearance and is paired with special decals that separate the Special Edition from the regular motorcycle. The blue finish continues onto the wheels, while the fuel tank gets a dedicated Special Edition badge and a 3D Suzuki emblem.
Suzuki has also given attention to smaller details. The exhaust end can and heat guard now feature an anodised finish, adding a more premium touch to the motorcycle. A single-seat cowl is also offered as standard, giving the bike a sportier look when the rider does not need the pillion seat.
Electronics Get Some Important Updates
The changes are not limited to the appearance. Suzuki has also revised parts of the Hayabusa’s electronic package. The Launch Control System and Power Mode Selector now feature updated settings, giving riders revised control options depending on how they want the motorcycle to respond.
Another notable update is to the Smart Cruise Control System. On the updated Hayabusa, the system can remain active while the rider changes gears. This means the selected cruising speed can be maintained without continuously keeping the throttle open, making the feature more convenient during longer rides.
New Lithium-Ion Battery
One of the less visible but meaningful changes is the new battery. Suzuki has equipped the Special Edition with an ELIIY Power lithium-ion battery, which the company says is lighter and more compact than the previous setup.
While a battery upgrade may not sound as exciting as a new colour or electronic feature, reducing weight and size can be useful on a motorcycle like the Hayabusa. It is another example of Suzuki making smaller refinements without changing the character of the motorcycle itself.
The 1,340cc Engine Continues
Despite the updates, Suzuki has kept the Hayabusa’s mechanical package unchanged. The motorcycle continues to use its 1,340cc inline-four-cylinder engine, producing 190bhp and 142Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
This means the Special Edition is not a completely reworked Hayabusa. Instead, Suzuki has focused on styling, electronics and a few technical improvements while retaining the engine and core mechanical setup that defines the motorcycle.
What About the Standard Hayabusa?
Alongside the Special Edition, Suzuki has also introduced three new colour combinations for the standard Hayabusa. These include Candy Daring Red/Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Galaxy Gray/Candy Burnt Gold, and Pearl Vigor Blue/Pearl Brilliant White.
The standard model continues to be priced at Rs. 18.99 lakh ex-showroom in Delhi, while the Special Edition is positioned at Rs. 19.90 lakh. This gives buyers a choice between the regular version and the more distinctive Special Edition with its additional styling elements and updated features.

The latest Hayabusa is best understood as an update rather than a complete transformation. The motorcycle keeps its familiar 1,340cc engine, but Suzuki has added a new Pearl Vigor Blue finish, special graphics, blue wheels, unique badging and premium exhaust detailing. The electronics have also been revised, particularly the launch control, power mode selector and smart cruise control.
