The price of the Tata Nexon CNG starts from Rs. 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India), and the manufacturer is offering it in four main variants: Smart, Pure, Creative, and Fearless Plus. Except for the top -spec variant, all other trims have sub-variants. The CNG variants of the Nexon come with a 1.2- litre turbo petrol engine, which produces 100 PS of power in CNG mode, 20 PS lower than the regular variants. While the power has slightly decreased, the torque output remains the same in both petrol and CNG modes. Now, let’s discuss the features based on each variant. The base-spec Smart variant of the Nexon CNG comes with most of the essential features you need. While there is no infotainment package, the base-spec variant does offer a good lighting setup and includes a decent safety kit. The variant adds an infotainment system with wired smartphone connectivity and also includes a few more convenience features. However, there are no changes to the cabin of the safety kit. With this variant, you only get a single-pane sunroof, which costs an additional Rs. 30,000. Apart from this, two other small but useful features have been added, such as auto headlights and rain-sensing wipers. The feature additions to the Pure variant are limited to the exterior, infotainment, and convenience sections. The cabin and safety kit remain the same. The top-spec Nexon CNG includes all the premium features of the standard Nexon, which consists of larger screens, more comfort and convenience features, and even a panoramic sunroof, which is a new addition to the subcompact SUV.
