MG Windsor EV Pro battery and range

The MG Windsor EV Pro offers a significant improvement in battery capacity and range over the base model. It features a 52.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, much larger than the 38 kWh battery used in the regular Windsor EV.

This increased battery pack allows the Windsor EV Pro to produce a claimed ARAI-approved range of as much as 449 km from a single full charge, which represents a big boost over the previous model’s 332 km.

To charge, Windsor EV Pro accepts both AC and DC charging. It takes approximately 9.5 hours to fully charge the battery using a 7.4 kW AC charger. At the same time, DC fast charging at 60 kW gets the car from 20% to 80% charge in about 50 minutes, and thus it becomes viable for regular usage as well as extended drives.

MG Windsor EV Pro exterior design

Being in effect a fresh model, however, the Windsor EV Pro has no extensive bodywork updates on offer, except for the redesign of the 18-inch alloys, which mirror the styling on the MG Hector SUV. Elsewhere, the Windsor EV Pro still carries the same design cues as the existing model, such as a split headlamp arrangement with attached LED lightbars at the front and rear, flush retracting door handles, a large glass area, and the characteristic MPV-hatchback hybrid silhouette. The brand has also added 3 new colours – Celadon Blue, Glaze Red and Aurora Silver.

  •  New 18-inch alloy wheels – Inspired by the MG Hector, offering a bold and premium appearance.

  •  Connected LED light bars – At the front and rear, giving the car a modern, high-tech look.

  • Illuminated MG logo – Enhances the EV’s futuristic identity.

  •  Closed-off front grille – Reinforces its fully electric nature and aerodynamic efficiency.

  •  Flush door handles – Contribute to a sleek, streamlined side profile.

  •  Large window area – Improves visibility and adds to the vehicle’s airy, spacious feel.

  •  New color options – Celadon Blue, Glaze Red, and Aurora Silver add personalization choices.

  •  MPV-hatchback hybrid form – Balances modern design with practical urban mobility.

MG Windsor EV Pro interior and features

Inside, the MG Windsor EV Pro is simpler to tell apart courtesy of the fresh beige trim on the seats, front armrest, and roof and column liners, avoiding the existing model’s all-black interior colour scheme. The Windsor EV Pro also receives some significant new features, which include V2V (Vehicle to Vehicle) and V2L (Vehicle to Load) capability, wherein the battery can be utilized to charge other electric vehicles and external devices, as well as a Level 2 ADAS safety package and powered tailgate.

As anticipated, the bigger battery pack has taken up some interior room, and the Pro’s boot capacity is 579 litres, versus 604 litres for the regular Windsor.

Stepping inside, the Windsor EV Pro showcases a refreshed cabin adorned with a new beige upholstery, replacing the previous all-black scheme. This lighter tone extends to the seats, front armrest, roof, and column liners, creating a more spacious and inviting ambiance. Complementing this is the addition of faux wood trim on multiple panels, adding a touch of sophistication to the interior .
