These vehicles, which were manufactured between March 3, 2022, and April 14, 2023, are being recalled due to a software issue with the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU). The 12V auxiliary battery is crucial for powering essential functions in the EV6, including the vehicle’s lighting, windshield wipers, and infotainment system. Interestingly, a similar recall was also issued for the Hyundai Ioniq 5, which shares the same underpinnings as the Kia EV6, highlighting a shared concern between the two vehicles.
