Compact SUVs have gained more popularity in recent years, owing to their impressive looks and good performance. Now the brands like Kia and Skoda are stepping forward for an exciting transformation in India. These brands are set to introduce two brand new models – the Kia Syros and Skoda Kylaq.
1. Kia Syros:
Kia India is gearing up to launch the all new compact SUV, likely named Syros. The Syros is expected to be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Show from January 17-22 , 2025, and will be positioned between the Sonnet and Seltos. Inside, it will boast segment-leading features like dual 10.2- inch touchscreens and an electrically adjustable driver seat. Moreover, the Syros will include a selection of physical buttons beneath the touchscreen, featuring a scroll wheel for volume adjustment. The Syros is expected to feature two petrol engine options, emphasising impressive fuel efficiency. Safety will be enhanced with a 360 – degree camera, six airbags and advanced driver assistance system. The petrol variant is expected to launch in mid-2025, priced around 9 lakh.
2. SKODA KYLAQ :-
Skoda is set to launch the Kylaq compact SUV in India in early 2025, entering the sub- 4 metre SUV segment. The Skoda Kylaq will be powered by a 1.0- litre TSI petrol engine, producing 144 bhp of maximum power 178 Nm of peak torque. Considering the new intricate details, it’s reasonable to expect that the Kylaq will incorporate several iconic Skoda design features. True to Skoda’s design philosophy, the side profile of the Kylaq will feature a clean and understated look. The Kylaq will also feature an Advanced Driver Assistance System to enhance safety. It will be powered by a 1.0- litre, three cylinder turbo petrol engine, transmission choices will include a 6 speed manual or automatic transmission.
