Maruti is all set to launch the new generation of its sedan alternative, the 2024 Dzire in the coming months. Over the current model, the new Dzire will feature a fresh design, updated interior and new features. Along with these updates, the upcoming Dzire could get three things from the 2024 Swift hatchback. With the 2024 Swift, Maruti Suzuki introduced a new 1.2- litre 3- 3-cylinder Z series petrol engine that produces 82 PS and 112 Nm of torque. The upcoming Dzire is expected to be powered by the same petrol engine and will likely be available in both manual and automatic transmission options. Additionally, like the Swift, the 2024 Dzire is also expected to offer a factory-fitted CNG kit option. In CNG mode, the power output in the 2024 Swift drops to 69 PS and 102 Nm, while it delivers a claimed mileage of 32.85 km/kg. The new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which offers wireless Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay connectivity and a wireless phone charger, is expected to be carried over from the 2024 Swift to the 2024 Dzire. The new generation Swift also features an updated cabin with a new dashboard layout and an all-black theme contrasted by silver accents. We expected similar updates in the 2024 Dzire, although it will likely have a dual-tone cabin theme to differentiate it from its hatchback counterpart. The 2024 Dzire is also expected to borrow safety features from the Swift, which comes with six airbags as standard. Higher variants will also be equipped with a rearview camera, child seat mounts, and reverse parking sensors. Dzire is expected to start at Rs 7 lakh. Although Maruti has not confirmed its launch date, we anticipate it will be launched in the coming months.
