2025 Land Rover Defender feature updates

Larger touchscreen, new driver attention monitor

The biggest conversation point is a new 13.1 inch touch screen, from the 11.4 inch unit to the outgoing defender. This new touch screen has filled the gap between the center console and the dashboard.

There is also a new driver-affected infrared camera on the steering column to monitor the driver’s attention-a system compulsory of the GSR2 law in the EU. The system sends audio or visual notice if it finds that the driver becomes unintended, even if it can be adjusted completely or disabled using driver support settings in infotainment. Nevertheless, another remarkable addition is an off-road adaptive cruise control feature that is available as an alternative supplement for the first time on the defender.

Improved infotainment: Large touch screen view

Defender from 2025 is equipped with the latest PIVI PRO infotainment system, characterized by a 11.4-inch touch screen. The system gives the drivers a comfortable access to settings for navigation, media and vehicles, designed to reduce all distractions and focus on the road.

In high trims, such as the defender 130 x specifications, the vehicle has a double 13.1-inch winding touch screen. These screens provide uninterrupted control of vehicle features, navigation and entertainment, which support wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto for spontaneous connection.
