The 2024 sub- compact sedan Maruti Suzuki Dzire is set to launch at the end of this month. Ahead of the new generation model’s launch, Maruti Suzuki has released the mileage details of the new Dzire. The sedan will now be powered by the same 1.2- litre 3- cylinder naturally aspirated Z- series petrol engine that also powers the new Maruti Swift hatchback. In its new version, the Dzire CNG will be able to deliver a mileage of 33.73 km/kg. According to Maruti Suzuki, the new Dzire will offer more mileage compared to its previous model. The sedan’s petrol variant, which will be available with both a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT transmission, will be capable of delivering at least 24.97 km/l. This is about 2 km/l more than the previous generation Dzire. The AMT variant of the sedan may offer a mileage of over 25 km/l. Maruti Suzuki will launch the new Dzire with both petrol and CNG powertrains. The CNG variant of the sedan will be powered by the same engine and will come only with a 5- speed manual gearbox. Currently, the Dzire CNG offers a mileage of around 31 km/kg. Maruti Suzuki is also introducing a 360- degree camera with the new Dzire, a first in this segment. Additionally the Dzire, offers features like wireless charging, wireless Android Auto connectivity, automatic climate control. The size of its touchscreen infotainment screen has also been increased to 9 inches. The new Dzire will compete in this segment with the Hyundai Aura and the upcoming Honda Amaze facelift sedan. The new Dzire promises to revitalise the sub-compact sedan compact sedan segment in the coming days.
