Skoda Kylaq SUV Debut November 6.

Czech auto manufacturer Skoda recently announced that they will globally unveil the Kylaq SUV on November 6, 2024. Scheduled for launch in January 2025, this compact SUV will be built on the MQB – A0- IN platform and will be the first vehicle to emerge from Skoda’s India 2.5 strategy. Although the Skoda Kylaq will be a sub-4 meter SUV, it will borrow many design elements from its larger model, the Kushaq. Based on some teasers and a few spy shots, the grille and side window line design will resemble that of the Kushaq. According to various media reports, the Skoda Kylaq will enter the production phase next month. Skoda has set an annual production target of 50,000 to 70,000 units of Kylaq. Initially, the Kylaq will be launched in India, followed by exports later to boost their financial growth. The interior design of the Kylaq is anticipated to be similar to the Kushaq, but Skoda is expected to offer additional features, such as an ADAS system and a 360-degree camera along with an ADAS suite. These features are not yet available in the Skoda Slavia and Kushaq. The Kylaq will be equipped with a 1.0 – liter three-cylinder turbo petrol engine, which will produce a peak power of 115 horsepower and a maximum torque of 178 Nm. The Kylaq is expected to feature an 8- inch fully digital driver’s display  , automatic air conditioning, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, and single – pane sunroof. Its safety features are likely to include 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), and rear parking sensors. The Skoda Kylaq is expected to be priced starting from Rs. 8.50 lakh. It will compete with rivals such as the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV 300, as well as sub – 4m crossovers like the Maruti Fronx and Toyota Urban cruiser
