Renault’s sister brand Dacia has released the first teaser for the upcoming Bigster SUV. The new production specification Dacia Bigster will make its global debut at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, scheduled to take place between October 14-20. This new SUV is essentially a slightly longer version of the all new Duster, and it will come with three rows of seats. The Bigster will have a different front, wheels, and rear design. It will be longer to accommodate a third row. It is expected to use the Duster’s power trains, feature list and interior layout. We hope that Renault will offer it in both a six-seat and seven seat layout. When this new SUV arrives in India, it will sit at the top of Renault’s lineup in the country. It will be around 4.6 meters long, making it about 300 mm longer than the two row Duster, and it will be aimed squarely at vehicles like the Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV700, and Tata Safari. According to the spy images, the Renault Bigster will share its design with the five seat Duster. It is expected to feature slim LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights at the front. In profile, the upcoming Bigster could sport pillar- mounted door handles, squared-off wheel arches, and black alloy wheels. Expected interior features include steering-wheel mounted controls, a large infotainment screen, a digital instrument cluster, a 360 degree camera and an ADAS suite. The seven seat Bigster is expected to have three engine options: a 1.6 litre four cylinder petrol hybrid and a 1.2 litre three cylinder petrol hybrid. For the market, the seven seat Renault Bigster will be introduced only after the five-seat Duster arrives here in the second half of next year.
