The launch of the new Dzire is expected around Diwali, with the CNG version’s prices to be announced later. The new generation model will be priced at a premium over the outgoing Dzire, which is priced between Rs. 6.57 lakh and 9.34 lakh. Unlike its predecessors, the new Dzire will be more distinctly differentiated from the Swift, with which it shares the Heartect platform. Maruti’s compact sedan will feature an Audi- like nose, a blacked-out horizontally slatted grille, slim headlights, and a slightly sportier- looking front bumper. New design for similarly sized alloy wheels, new wraparound LED tail-lights, and a boot that appears larger than its predecessor with more angular creases will further differentiate the hatchback from the compact sedan. The new Dzire will use the Swift 1.2 liter, three – cylinder Z series petrol engine. In the hatchback, this engine produces 82hp and 112 Nm of torque on petrol, and 69.75hp and 101.8Nm on CNG. Another major difference is the presence of a sunroof. However, the new Dzire will share many of its interior features with the Swift, although it is expected to be finished in lighter colours to make the cabin feel airier. The features list on the top-spec variants is expected to include a 9- inch free standing touchscreen, a climate control system, and an analogue instrument cluster with a 4.2 inch digital MID. Petrol variants will have a 5- speed manual and AMT options, while CNG versions will only have a manual transmission. The exact launch details of the new Maruti Dzire have not yet been revealed, but media reports suggest that the sedan could go on sale by Diwali. The compact sedan has been spotted multiple times on the Indian roads. The spy images reveal key design details and features of the upcoming all new Dzire.
